Camilla Pessi and Simone Fassari met at the theatre training school founded by the famous Swiss clown, Dimitri, in Verscio, Locarno. After graduating they went their separate ways, working in different circuses and cabarets around the world. When Simone split with his then stage partner in 2004 at the height of the circus season, Camilla agreed to stand in. They clicked straight away, finding the innate mutual understanding that characterizes the very best duo acts. Determined to continue working together they decided to devise new, original routines for themselves. In December 2004 and after a two month development residency at La Fabbrica in Switzerland they signed a contracts to perform in various circuses and varieté shows, and between 2005 – 2009 toured from Russia to Brazil, from Egypt to China, to Guadaloupe, Turkey and South Africa. Early in 2010 their desire to produce work for specifically for theatres rather than circus became reality when they met director, Louis Spagna and devised Pss Pss under his guidance. This new show proved a sell-out success at the 2011 Festival d’Avignon and is now at the start of an extensive international tour.
